NEW MEXICO

I would never say I’ve spent a ton of time in New Mexico, however on any cross country drive I’ve been on, NM is where I get my favorite photos every time without fail.

And if you’ve ever driven through New Mexico, chances are pretty high you’ve seen the Tucumcari signage plastered along the highway. This is my favorite, and while there’s not necessarily much to do in this town aside from absorbing the pure Route 66 Americanacore, this should be enough of a reason to pull over.

My favorite stop will always be the Blue Swallow Motel, which I think my rationale is pretty clear.

Another absolutely insane roadside moment in New Mexico is the Classical Gas Museum, north of Santa Fe. I actually went here when I was in high school and had the worst haircut of all time and a lot more life in my eyes, but these photos remain some of my favorites.

This place is a labyrinth, and I’m so thankful for all the people in this world with weird collections they’re willing to share with the world. The museum is free, but doesn’t mean you can’t donate or buy the unhinged DVD the owner sells if you ever find yourself out here.

Well…that’s all I got. Some of New Mexico’s finest roadtrip culture with my little spin on it? I don’t know, just thanks for being here.
