DEATH VALLEY

I’ve been fortunate enough to have made two trips to Death Valley, which I’m realizing is about two more times than the average LA resident. It feels to me like Death Valley ends up being more of a concept than an actual destination due to its remoteness and otherworldly heat.

As a person who finds a large chunk of their inspiration in the desert, I am obsessed with Death Valley. Rapid elevation changes take you to highs and to literal lows, and total desolation leaves you to wonder wait.. how exactly did Death Valley get its name? Magical place.
