POSITANO

Positano is the moment. Typically a thriving summer destination and widely known for those classic beach umbrella pics, I was so stoked to go here just ahead of the season in April and wander around for a few days.

Oddly (but also not oddly) one of my favorite parts of Positano was our local corner grocery store near our Airbnb. Small, but with everything you could possibly need this place got the job done and gave me more of a rush of inspiration than any resort could ever.

Positano’s main obstacle is the sheer amount of steps. No matter where you go, you’re not going to avoid staircases. They can feel endless, and that’s because they are endless. But this is the price you gotta pay to be perched on a cliff in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Most of the time I spent in Positano was actually in the rain which is a bit of a bummer, but hen I see the photos it’s hard to be mad. I love seeing such a colorful place with such a dreary, sleepy backdrop because that’s never the side of the town you see in photos.
