SEATTLE

To add to to the list of cities I almost moved to but never did: Seattle

It’s a long and mostly boring story, but the gist is a job offer fell through so my PNW dreams were yanked away. Probably better for me in the long run since I am an embodiment of the most annoying things about LA, but I still love to stare out the window about it sometimes on rainy days.

Seattle can be polarizing. There’s the tech bro-y, Am*zon side of things that I hate with every fiber of my being but there’s also the gritty corners still in tact and some weird fisherman vibes to be had.

Shit, I even like the Pike Place tourist thing every single time I go to this city. I absolutely do not care about being perceived as that breed of tourist in everybody’s way and blissfully unaware of her whereabouts.

Seattle has so much to offer, and I do hate to see the presence of those creepily uniform luxury apartment buildings on every block. There’s something so homey about the Pacific Northwest, something that makes me immediately feel a sense of familiarity. Or perhaps that’s what happens when your preferred comfort content is Twin Peaks and the entire Twlight series.
