BADLANDS

Wrapping up my urge to romanticize the Dakotas, a place that is my Nomadland drifter dreams come to life: the Badlands.

Like any rational person, I loved the looks of this place and was in steady awe throughout the day spent in the park. But another underrated side to Badlands was the surrounding towns. Some were actual ghost towns, some were not intended to be ghost towns but were closed up anyway. No matter their living population, these structures against this backdrop create a dream scenario for photos.

Really not sure what else to say here but that nature is weird, American culture is weird, South Dakota is weird, we’re all weird.
